My days at the Kansas Speedway:
9/27/02--I cannot begin to explain how exciting today was!! Tracy and I went to Qualifying and had an absolute blast. We started out the day at Cabela's trying to win a chance to meet Dale Jr and get an autograph. We didn't win, much to Tracy's dismay.
But Qualifying was so cool. We had fanwalk passes and we were so close to the action. We could see the garages clearly and saw so many drivers I can't even remember them all. And I have to add that we had a great view of the men's restroom at one point and saw several of the drivers/crew chiefs there!!
I will post some pics and try to explain a litte about what was going on in them.
9/28/02--We were back at the Speedway today for another practice, Happy Hour and the Busch race. I am so sunburnt that it was difficult to drag myself there today. But I'm glad I did! Jimmie was 2nd in Happy Hour, much to my delight! Rich and I spent some time at FanWalk this morning and got to see the cars coming out of the garage which never ceases to be loads of fun!! As for the rest of the day...check out the rest of my pictures for details!
10/04/02--I finally have a spare moment to write about the actual race. It was so fun!! I think now that I've been to a race, I am even a bigger Nascar fan.
